Common Core SUPER FREEBIE...oh yeah!!!

I'm so excited to have surpassed 300 followers!  I hope each follower has gained something new and exciting to try in their classroom!  I mentioned before that my school district is great about staying up with the changes!  We adopted the Common Core this past fall and will be starting our second year with it this coming school year.  I feel as though I should be a Common Core advocate or something similar...HA!  I just feel it has so many new things to help the children expand their learning.  There was a couple of times this year when I told myself, "I'm not sure they can do it...and by my surprise they did it and then some!"  Nothing makes you more proud!

Next year we will be taking weekly Common Core Math Skill Checks.  These are a great way to measure student progress.  Also, they are made with the Common Core language!  Click below to get 22 Math common core aligned skill checks for FREE!  I only ask that you pin or share with your friends & colleagues.  These skill checks will benefit so many kiddos if we pass them along!
Click the picture below to grab yours! Happy learning and happy teaching!

Click {here} for Skill Check 2 Correction!
Click {here} for a full list of standards on each skill check!  Thanks to Ms. Sandy!!

Special note in this technology world we live in: Please feel free to share these skill checks.  I ask that you don't save the file and place directly onto your blog, etc.  Rather, please direct interested parties to this blog post via this link: www.littlemindsatwork.blogspot.com  Also, because I have to say it, please do not sell these as your own. Thanks so much for understanding and ENJOY!!

Do you have any idea how much I appreciate these? We have Math Benchmarks that we have made for each month but will have to be changed this year to match the common core and new pacing. These are so precious to me- really, you have no idea. Thank you for sharing! If you see anything at my TpT store that you would like, I will gladly email it to you for free.

Just wondering what you ask them to do in the boxes that say "Listen and write". I'm guessing number writing.

Tara said...

Wow, I'm glad so many have found these to be of great use! :) Yes, the Listen and Write section is where the teacher gives a number outloud and the kids write that number.

WOWWW!!!!! I am sooo excited! We were just asked to create assessments to track our kids progress!! This is a heaven to me! I am so appreciative, and want to THANK YOU so much for sharing with the rest of us!

I was wondering also about the boxes near the end of the assessment that say "Listen and Write." Do you have specific standards and indicators and/or questions in mind? Frequency marks, number writing, story problem??

Tara said...

Thanks so much Tina! For the 'listen and do' the teacher will say a number and the student must then write the number in the box :)

I love it but found an error. Page two, at the bottom, states to color three hearts, but the shapes are stars.

Terry said...

I too, love this idea. I most definitely want to use them. Would you give me instructions for the "listen and write" portions. Also there appears to be an error with hearts and stars.
Thank you again.

Tara said...

Listen & Learn: teacher says a number outloud and the students then write that number.

Thanks!

This is super Awesome. You know what would make it even better, if you put the correlated common core standard that went with each assessment. Along with a check list. With that added you could totally sell it for at least 10 bucks:) and I would totally buy it :)

Tara said...

There is a list of all of the standards...its below the pink box up there ^^^^
